It is WORLD BOOK WEEK this week so things look quite different. Miss Lawson has organised for an author to join us - just as if we were in school. Her name is Sarah Oliver.
We will begin the week on MONDAY with a message from Sarah, then we will review 'You don't get extra lives in space' and read 'The real thing' from Cosmic. We will then look at the structure of an information text ready for our Unicorn writing.
On TUESDAY, in our online session, we will listen to the biography of Sarah Oliver in a recorded video she has done for us and then read 'Quest orange' from Cosmic.
On WEDNESDAY, there is no online session in the morning. You will watch Sarah Oliver's 'How to write a Biography' on the YouTube link provided on Wednesday's timetable. You will need a pencil and paper. If you have any time left you can complete one of the World Book Day activities I have set below, or one on the World Book Day section of the SCHOOL WEBSITE that Miss Lawson has set up for us all.
Our online session is with Sarah on WEDNESDAY afternoon at 1.30 and the login details for this are on Wednesday's timetable and I will join you online for this too.
THURSDAY is actual WORLD BOOK DAY so please dress up as a book character if you would like to, or bring a 'prop' from a book and we could guess what book it comes from or bring a favourite book to recommend or talk about if you would like. [Do all three!]. We will watch our author's 'Writing Biographies Challenge Video' together online and you will then complete the worksheet saved under THURSDAY.
On FRIDAY, test yourself on your spellings as usual, and then you can complete the Malorie Blackman comprehension and some of the World Book Day activities that are available for you.
