Class 4's poem, inspired by Maya Angelou
(this will grow as you send me your stanzas - It's looking very exciting already, although a bit spooooky)
Spiders with long legs crawling up the wall
slimy, slippery slugs creeping on the ball
Life doesn’t frighten me at all
Lit churches in the deathly dark
Deadly ghosts flying round my head
Life doesn’t frighten me at all
A terrifying tarantula trespassing up my arm
One thousand tiny scorpions sitting in my palm
Life doesn’t frighten me at all
Huge spiders with spiky legs on my bed
Smiley dancing clowns running in my town
Life doesn’t frighten me at all
There are creepy shadows in the night
But I’m not afraid to fight
Life doesn’t frighten me at all
The vampires bloodthirsty teeth
As sharp as needles beneath
Life doesn’t frighten me at all
Lions loud scary roar
Claws sharp as knives
Life doesn’t frighten me at all
Spiders long hair legs creeping up the wall
Teeth as big as fingers slowly eating flies
Life doesn’t frighten me at all
Standard high on a building looking down
Feet slipping almost falling
Life doesn’t frighten me at all
Crashing, booming noise
Tickled from behind
Getting badly hurt
Life doesn’t frighten me at all
Long-legged spiders
Very spicy food
When people make me jump
Life doesn’t frighten me at all
Walking ghosts, shadows looking weird
Getting lost
Life doesn’t frighten me at all
Cobras slithering in the cobble
Life doesn’t frighten me at all
Wolves pouncing in halls
Life doesn’t frighten me at all
Clowns scaring hounds
Life doesn’t frighten me at all
Poisonous spiders spreading their poison
Life doesn’t frighten me at all
Rattle snakes rattling their rattle
Life doesn’t frighten me at all
Dogs barking loudly in a crowd
Sirens screaming really loud
Life doesn’t frighten me at all
Nasty covid germs everywhere all over our hands
People getting ill, enough to fill a football stand
Life doesn’t frighten me at all
Spiders hurrying across the floor
Making a shadow under the door
Life doesn’t frighten me at all
Furious dog snarling and scratching
Running away as fast as I can
Life doesn’t frighten me at all
Fireworks flash and fly across the sky
Thunderstorms crash and rumble up high
Life doesn’t frighten me at all
White clown’s face with wicked grin
Frey, atrocious shark with teeth and fin
Life doesn’t frighten me at all
As with the maths work, I only set 4 lessons a week, just in case you need time to catch up. If you want more work though, there are some grammar activities to do on the page link below.
