In the usual space for homework, I am adding a SATs timetable for next week, some general information and a poem - BUT NO HOMEWORK!
April 28th 2023
This week's Maths homework is all about 2D shapes and is due in Friday 5th May. For English, I would like the children to spend a minimum of 10-15 minutes per day on Spelling Frame, practising as many spellings as possible from the Year 5-6 lists, ready for the SATs Spelling Assessment on Tuesday 9th May.
Thank you.

The children have been set homework booklets in all three SATs subjects: Maths, Reading, Grammar, Punctuation and Spelling. On Thursday 30th March, they were all given a green folder with 4 booklets called 'Ten for Ten'. They have until Friday 21st April to complete these booklets and return them to school so we can review their answers and correct any misconceptions together. The ten for ten means ten questions in each subject for ten days but the children will actually have just over three weeks to complete them so it is up to them to organise their time over the holidays and into the following week.
Please encourage them to read regularly, continue to use Spelling Frame and complete any outstanding work on www.spag.com
I have uploaded a Grammar Glossary to help with some of the more complex grammatical terms.
Thank you for your continued support, it was lovely to see so many of you at the recent Parent Meetings and discuss the progress your child has made.
Have a happy Easter break!
