This week our learning is based on the story 'Zog' by Julia Donaldson. You may have this book at home but if you haven't don't worry, just click on the link below to watch the film. It is a definite favourite in Mrs Hargis' house!

Monday-Movie Time-Watch Zog by Julia Donaldson on bbc iplayer. Share the story if you have a copy at home. What is your favourite part of the story? Can you retell the story?

Tuesday-Mrs Taylor says we cannot have a dragon at St Katherine's. Can you write Mrs Taylor a letter or a note explaining why a dragon at school would be useful.

Wednesday-Is there a dragon in your garden? Your mission is to search the garden for clues that a dragon lives there! Look out for footprints, glittery scales, dragon teeth and anything that the dragon has breathed fire on.

Thursday-Roaring Challenge-Using musical instruments such as shakers and drums, or pots and pans, make the loudest roar you can.

Friday-Make a paper chain dragon and teach it how to fly, swoop and loop.

Special Challenge: Family Game Knights, Princesses and Dragons. Choose a role and then play stuck in the mud. If the dragon tags the princess, they must stand still in their captured position. Only a touch from the knight can unstick them.

If you like the book Zog then take a look at the sequel!

Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler are at their sparkling best in this fabulously original sequel to the bestselling ZOG. Meet the Flying Doctors: Princess Pearl, Sir Gadabout and, of course, their trusty 'air ambulance', Zog the dragon, as they fly around the country, tending to a sunburnt mermaid, a distressed unicorn, and even a sneezy lion.
