Thursday 26th November 2020

Good Morning Class 5 & Parents,

We hope you have all had a great week so far. We have now sent an email to all of you and we thank those of you who have replied. It was lovely to hear about how you are getting on with home learning and some of you have shared work, which is fantastic. Please do not feel you have to send pictures or work - just a quick update/reply to our email of what you have been doing is fine.

Thank you all for your hard work. Parents: you are doing a great job and your children are doing us proud. Keep going everyone and keep checking out the class webpage for different things to do - there is lots there. Please make full use of all the online resources, including Spelling Shed. If you haven't played yet, please join in as there is a league in school and we need to make our mark! Well done if you regularly complete your Spelling Shed assignments.

Just a reminder that it is St Katherine's Day tomorrow and it is officially a day off school. Please enjoy a long weekend, but if you want to keep up the routine and structure of home learning, there are activities to complete for Friday.

Wishing you all a lovely, happy weekend. Please take care and keep safe.

Best Wishes,

Mrs Hopes & Mrs Thompson

Good morning Class 5 and parents,

We are very sorry we are not in class today and that we won't be back in school until Thursday 3rd December. It is such a shame but completely understandable in the current circumstances. We just want to reassure you that we are available via the email addresses sent out yesterday.

Mrs Hopes between 8.30am and 4pm Monday to Wednesday

Mrs Thompson between 8.30am and 4pm Thursday and Friday

Please access work through the CLASS 5 webpage. There are video links to maths lessons taught this academic year and those we are teaching currently (multiples, factors, prime numbers), plus worksheets that can be downloaded and completed or worked from the screen onto paper.

For English this week, (today and tomorrow) there is a range of Grammar, Punctuation and Spelling activities. Please continue to use Spelling shed to access this week’s spellings.

You will also see some PEScience and RE on the web page (under additional home learning) plus several other general activities that the children can access for Maths and English if they wish.

Please encourage your child to read using the recommended story books and complete quizzes on Accelerated Reader - links on the class 5 webpage.  There is also TTRockstars so there is plenty to keep them busy!

The home learning activities for next week will uploaded as soon as possible

Sending you all our very best wishes and hope you keep safe and well.
