Good Morning Class 5 & Parents,
We hope you have had a good week and have found the online learning easy to access and complete. This week has hopefully helped you to settle into a home schooling routine that is productive and suits everyone in your household.
Thank you to those of you who have responded to our emails. We will email weekly to see how you are all getting on with the home learning and check in on your child's well being. Please remember to make full use of TT Rockstars, Spelling Shed and the other online resources available. We are currently 4th in the Spelling Shed school league (previously 1st at the end of last term), so let's see if the children can help to improve this over the next few weeks.
We hope you are managing to get some fresh air too. Although it is very cold, a walk in the cold, crisp air is quite refreshing and the sunsets recently have been amazing!
Wishing you a happy weekend - enjoy a well-earned rest. Take care, keep safe and well.

Good morning Class 5 and Parents,
We hope you have had a lovely Christmas and wish you all a happy, healthy new year. Thank you so much for the lovely, thoughtful gifts at the end of last term, they are greatly appreciated.
We are sorry we are not able to return to school at the moment, but it is completely understandable in the current circumstances. Please be reassured that we are available via the email addresses below:
email@example.com (between 8.30am and 5pm Monday to Wednesday)
Teresa.firstname.lastname@example.org (between 8.30am and 5pm Thursday and Friday)
Please access work through the CLASS 5 webpage. There are video links to current maths lessons (multiplication and division) plus worksheets that can be downloaded and completed or worked from the screen onto paper.
For English, there is a range of Grammar, Punctuation and Spelling activities as well as online PowerPoints and activities to complete daily. Please continue to use Spelling Shed to access this week’s spellings. At the end of last term, Class 5 were top of the Spelling Shed school league – a great achievement!
You will also see some PE, Science, RE and PSHE activities on the web page. There are also several other activities linked to English and Maths under 'Additional Home Learning'.
Please encourage your child to read using the recommended story books and complete quizzes on Accelerated Reader - links on the class 5 webpage. There is also TTRockstars so there is plenty to keep them busy!
DON’T FORGET THAT THE CHILDREN ALREADY HAVE SOME WORK TO START THEM OFF TODAY – MONDAY 4TH JANUARY. MRS THOMPSON GAVE A PACK ON THE LAST FRIDAY BEFORE CHRISTMAS, JUST IN CASE WE WERE NOT ABLE TO BE IN SCHOOL ON THE FIRST DAY BACK.
We will be emailing you this week to see how the home learning is going, but please do not hesitate to get in touch before if you need support or help.
Sending you all our very best wishes and hope you keep safe and well.
