Wednesday

Challenge 1 will need to be printed and cut up before hand - this way the children can match up all three parts.
I would cut all of the sentences up and put them in piles: the images, the addition and the multiplication sentence.

If you are unable to print, you could draw your own matching cards and play a game.

Challenge 2 - This could be completed on a piece of paper and does not need printing.

The children will create their own stem sentences (There are ____ equal groups with ___ in each group). They will then draw this, write the addition sentence and multiplication sentence.

For example:

There are 3 equal groups with 4 in each group. = 4+4+4 = 12 = 3x4 =12
The groups must always be the first number in the multiplication sentence.
