If your child has one or more of the main coronavirus (COVID-19) symptoms listed below, please do not send them to school.
Notify the school as soon as possible of their absence and arrange for your child to be tested (please ensure you also notify the school of the test result when you receive it).

If your child develops one of the main coronavirus (COVID-19) symptoms in school, you will be contacted to arrange immediate collection from school. Whilst they are awaiting collection, your child will be moved to an area away from other 'bubbles', where they will be supervised by a member of staff wearing PPE. Please arrange for your child to be tested.
The main symptoms of coronavirus (COVID-19) are:
- a high temperature – this means you feel hot to touch on your chest or back (you do not need to measure your temperature)
- a new, continuous cough – this means coughing a lot for more than an hour, or 3 or more coughing episodes in 24 hours (if you usually have a cough, it may be worse than usual)
- a loss or change to your sense of smell or taste – this means you've noticed you cannot smell or taste anything, or things smell or taste different to normal
Children may return to school once they have received a negative test or have completed their isolation period and no longer have a high temperature.
