The health and well-being of children and young people is vital to their growth and development. At St Katherine's we are committed to encouraging children to lead a healthy and active lifestyle and pride ourselves on being a 'Healthy School'. In 2015 we achieved 'Enhanced Healthy School' status which is valid until 2017.
The impact of the programme is based on a whole school approach to physical and emotional well-being focused on four core themes:
- Personal, Social and Health Education
- Healthy Eating
- Physical Activity
- Emotional Health and Well-Being.
The whole-school approach involves the whole school community including children, staff, parents and governors.
